The **Dashboard** is the first screen you see when you open Revhero. It shows demand, performance and your competitor position for one period. One screen replaces the several reports you would otherwise read each morning. You arrange the screen yourself. Filters sit along the top. Below them sit widgets, which you can add, remove, resize and move. A **widget** is one card on the screen that reports one metric. Revhero saves your layout for each property. So a general manager and an analyst can read the same hotel in different ways. Use the property selector at the top right to change which hotel you are looking at. Read it before you read any number. | Element | What it tells you | | ---------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------- | | Today's date | The live calendar date, so you know the reading is today's | | **Operational Period** | The property's active operating season, for example `All Year Round` | | **Market** | The market your competitor comparisons come from | | **Last Upd.** | The date and time your booking data last arrived | {% hint style="info" %} Check **Last Upd.** first. It tells you when your data last arrived. If it is not current, email ****. {% endhint %} ## The filter bar | Control | What it does | | ---------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | **Period** | Opens a picker with 2 tabs. **Select Month** has a year stepper and 12 month tiles. **Custom Period** has Today, Yesterday, Last Week, Last 7 Days, Last 30 Days, Last 365 Days, Last Year, Year To Date and This Year, plus any range you choose on a 2-month calendar | | **Comparison Period:** | Two buttons: `STLY` (Same Time Last Year) and `LM` (Last Month). Your choice sets every comparison figure on the screen | | **Reference Date:** | Sets the day the whole Dashboard reports as of. See [Reference Date](/revhero-docs/your-hotels-performance/dashboard/reference-date.md) | | **Room Type** | A tick list of your room types that you can search, grouped by category, with **Cancel** and **Apply**. The badge counts how many you selected | | **Segmentation** | The same tick list for your market segments. Use it to show only Direct Booking, only wholesalers, and so on | | **Cancellations** | Tick it to include cancelled reservations. Leave it clear to see confirmed business only | | **Reset** (↺) | Appears at the right of the bar after you change a filter. It clears your filter choices back to default | A caption under the bar repeats your selection in words. For example: *"You are analyzing the period: 01/06/2026 - 30/06/2026 as of 26/06/2026, compared to 01/06/2025 - 30/06/2025 as of 26/06/2025"*. Read it to confirm which window your numbers cover. {% hint style="info" %} There are 2 different resets. **Reset** (↺) in the filter bar clears your *filters*. **Reset Dashboard**, at the bottom of the widget panel, restores the default *widget layout*. {% endhint %} ## Choosing your widgets These 3 controls sit at the top right of the screen. | Control | What it does | | ------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | **Edit Dashboard** | A switch. Turn it on to drag, resize and remove widgets | | **Select Widget** | Stays grey until **Edit Dashboard** is on. It opens the **Select Widgets** panel. Every widget there has a tick box and an `ⓘ` icon, grouped under **AI Insights**, **Performance Insights** and **Market Insights** | | **Reset Dashboard** | Sits at the bottom of that panel. It restores the default layout | Turn **Edit Dashboard** off again and Revhero saves your arrangement. ## A sensible reading order 1. Confirm the **Period** and the **Comparison Period:**. 2. Read [Pickup](/revhero-docs/your-hotels-performance/dashboard/pickup.md) first. It is the fastest signal of what changed. 3. Read the core numbers in this order: [Revenue](/revhero-docs/your-hotels-performance/dashboard/revenue.md), [Occupancy](/revhero-docs/your-hotels-performance/dashboard/occupancy.md), [RevPAR](/revhero-docs/your-hotels-performance/dashboard/revpar.md), [ADR](/revhero-docs/your-hotels-performance/dashboard/adr.md), [Room Nights](/revhero-docs/your-hotels-performance/dashboard/room-nights.md). 4. Read the supporting widgets. [Business Mix](/revhero-docs/your-hotels-performance/dashboard/business-mix.md) shows where bookings came from. [Booking Pace](/revhero-docs/your-hotels-performance/dashboard/booking-pace.md) shows the direction of travel. [Online Demand — Per Day](/revhero-docs/your-hotels-performance/dashboard/online-demand-per-day.md) shows market interest. 5. Act. Open [Rate Recommendation](/revhero-docs/your-hotels-performance/dashboard/rate-recommendation.md), then go to the [Yielding Board](/revhero-docs/setting-your-rates/yielding-board.md) to send rates. ## If something looks wrong | What you see | Usual cause | What to do | | ------------------------------------ | ---------------------------------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | No widgets at all | This is your first use on this property, or the layout was reset | Turn on **Edit Dashboard**, open the widget panel, and tick the widgets you want | | Numbers look old | Your booking data has not arrived | Check **Last Upd.**.
