# Table View

The grid on the Yielding Board, with one row per date, room type, board and occupancy, and a column for everything the decision needs.

**Table View** is the grid at the centre of the [Yielding Board](/revhero-docs/setting-your-rates/yielding-board.md). It is where you work through a list of dates and decide a rate for each one.

One row is one stay date, for one room type, one board, one rate plan and one occupancy. The row carries everything the decision needs, side by side: availability, the recommended rate, what you are sending, what you last sent, your restrictions and your price range. You do not have to open another screen to decide.

A **restriction** is a rule that limits how a date can be sold. A minimum stay (LOS) and a stop-sale (Close Out) are both restrictions.

Use Table View when you have many dates to work through. Use it to compare room types against each other, or to change a long stretch of dates in one action. [Calendar View](/revhero-docs/setting-your-rates/yielding-board/calendar-view.md) is the view for reading the shape of a month.

## Opening it

Click **Table View** in the left-hand menu of the board. It is what opens by default, ready to edit, showing the next 31 days.

Clicking **Table View** again discards pending edits and reloads the default window. It keeps your column setup.

## How far ahead you can work

The period selector at the top of the board looks forward only. It offers **Next 31**, **Next 60**, **Next 90** and **Next 180 days**. You can also set a start date in the future.

**Next 180 days** is the longest window on the selector. Use **Next 31** for tactical work on near dates, and **Next 90** or **Next 180** when you are setting a season.

You cannot yield a date in the past. For past dates, use the [Dashboard](/revhero-docs/your-hotels-performance/dashboard.md) or [Daily Performance](/revhero-docs/your-hotels-performance/daily-performance.md).

{% hint style="info" %}
Changing the period keeps edits on dates that are still inside the new window. It drops edits on dates that fall outside it. If you have unsent work, send it before you change the window.
{% endhint %}

## Yield modes decide what you see

The **Yield Mode** buttons sit in the controls bar. They are the most important control on the board. They decide 2 things at once: which rows the table shows you, and how far one edit reaches when you send.

![What each yield mode shows you](https://272652298-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FnzEa7YGji6t92Mfc0ZJ1%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-a958b4fdb71b2ad98f1434d659a2705c1eb926b1%2Fone-row-per-combination.svg?alt=media)

*The yield mode you choose decides what the board shows and how far one edit reaches.*

### Base Yield is the default

The board opens in **Base Yield** every time. Base Yield works at **2 adults**: every rate you see and edit here is a 2-adult rate, across your room types and boards.

That is because your whole pricing structure is built from one figure — the rate for 2 adults, in your base room, on your base board. Every other board and every other occupancy is calculated from it. See [Base room & base board](/revhero-docs/your-hotels-setup/settings/base-room-and-board.md).

So in Base Yield you make one decision for a date, and Revhero carries it through the rest of the rate plan when you send. It is the fastest way to work, and it is where you should stay until a single room or a single occupancy needs its own answer.

### The other 3 modes

| Yield Mode | What the table shows | When to use it |
| ---------- | ----------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| **Room** | A rate for each room type. | Your strategy differs by room category — the suites move, the standard rooms do not. |
| **Custom** | Every room, board and occupancy on its own row. | A single combination needs an override that the calculation would get wrong. |
| **Unit** | One row per unit. | Villas, suites and apartments that are priced as whole units. |

A price **derives** when Revhero calculates it from another price you set, rather than from a number you typed. In Base, Room and Unit, prices derive. In Custom, nothing derives — only the cells you edited are sent.

{% hint style="info" %}
Switching from **Custom** back to **Base** while you are editing drops the per-cell edits that Base does not cover. Send your Custom work before you switch mode.
{% endhint %}

Your filters also change how many rows you see. That is covered under [Filtering](#filtering-the-table).

## The columns, group by group

Columns are grouped, and the same groups appear in the column customisation panel.

### DATES

| Column | What it is |
| -------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| **Date** | The stay date. |
| **Day** | The day of the week, shortened — Mon, Tue and so on. This is the column your weekend pattern lives in. |

### AVAIL

| Column | What it is |
| ------- | ------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Tot** | The total number of rooms of that type at the property. |
| **Onl** | How many of them are still sellable online right now. |

Read the 2 together. `Tot 20 / Onl 3` on a Saturday is a different decision from `Tot 20 / Onl 18`.

### ROOMS

| Column | What it is |
| ------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| **Room Type** | The room category the row prices. |
| **Board** | The meal plan — room only, bed and breakfast, half board, full board, all inclusive. |
| **Rate Plan** | The plan the rate is sent on. One rate plan is one room on one board. |
| **PAX** | The occupancy the rate is for, written as `2A` for 2 adults. |

### SEND

This is the group you will spend your time in.

| Column | What it is |
| ---------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Send Rate** | What you are about to send. This is the cell you type in. |
| **Rec Rate** | What Revhero recommends for the date. See [Rate Recommendations](/revhero-docs/automation/rate-recommendations.md). |
| **Last Send** | The rate you last sent for the row. It is your reference if you need to put a rate back. |
| **Send Date** | When that last send happened. |
| **LOS** | The minimum stay you are setting for the date. **LOS** means length of stay. |
| **Close Out** | Closes the date to sale for that combination when it is on. |
| **Send vs Last** | The size of your change against the rate you last sent, as a percentage. Sort by it to bring your largest moves to the top. |
| **Init Rate** | The starting rate your published pricing structure produces for the date. |
| **Min Rate** | The lowest rate you have allowed yourself for the date. |
| **Max Rate** | The highest rate you have allowed yourself for the date. |

Init, Min and Max all come from [Pricing](/revhero-docs/setting-your-rates/pricing.md). They stay blank until your structure is published.

### UPDATES

This group is your record of what was done to the row, and when.

| Column | What it is |
| ------------------ | --------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Price Model** | Whether the row is priced per occupancy or per unit. |
| **Last Yield** | The yield mode used on the row the last time it was sent. |
| **Last LOS** | The minimum stay you last sent. |
| **Close Out Date** | The date a close-out was last applied. |

### The 4 columns you read on every row

| Column | The question it answers |
| -------------------- | -------------------------------------- |
| **Send Rate** | What am I sending? |
| **Rec Rate** | What does Revhero recommend? |
| **Send vs Last** | How far is this from what I last sent? |
| **Init / Min / Max** | What range am I moving inside? |

## The layout that works best

Set the table up once per property, then use it every day. This is the working set to start from:

**Date · Day · Tot · Onl · Send Rate · Close Out · Rec Rate · LOS · Room Type · Board · Rate Plan · PAX**

Pin **Date**, **Day**, **Room Type**, **Board** and **PAX**. They then stay on screen while you scroll sideways, so you never lose track of which row you are reading.

It works because it follows the order you think in. Which date, how much is left, what am I sending, what is recommended, what am I restricting, and for which room.

Set it up like this:

1. Click the column customisation icon in the controls bar.
2. On the **Customise** tab, untick every column you never read. The UPDATES group is a good place to start if you do not track history.
3. On the **Pin** tab, pin Date, Day, Room Type, Board and PAX. 6 columns is the maximum.
4. Drag the remaining column headers into the order above.
5. Click **Save**.

### The 3 customisation tools

| Tool | What it does |
| ----------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Customise tab** | Tick columns on and off, or search for one by name. **Select All** and **Clear All** are here too. |
| **Pin tab** | Pin up to 6 columns to the left edge, so they stay visible while you scroll sideways. |
| **Drag and drop** | Reorder columns by dragging a column header. |

### The 3 quick actions

| Action | What it does | When you want it |
| ----------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| **Autosize All** | Sets every column's width to fit what is in it. | After you hide or reorder columns and the table looks uneven, or when a column is cutting off a room name. |
| **Reset Columns** | Puts the table back to the default columns, order and widths. Your customisation is lost. | When your layout has become a mess, or when old offer columns are still showing after you deleted the offer. |
| **Save** | Stores the layout you are looking at. | Every time you finish setting a property up. |

### Your layout is saved per property

Your column order, visibility, widths and pinned columns are saved against **that property**. Switching property loads that property's own layout. Nothing you set up on the first property is lost, and a property you have not customised yet opens on the default layout.

This matters if you look after several properties. Set each one up once, in the same shape, and every property then opens ready to read.

## Filtering the table

Filters remove rows from the view. They are the fastest way to make a big table manageable, and they also limit what a bulk change touches.

| Filter by | A concrete example |
| -------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Room Type** | Show the suites only, because you are reviewing the top category before a holiday weekend. |
| **Board** | Show half board only, because that is where your margin question sits. |
| **PAX** | Show `2A` only, to take single-occupancy rows out of the way. |
| **Rate Plan** | Show one plan while you check it after a mapping change. |
| **Day** | Show Fridays and Saturdays only, to price the weekends for a whole season in one pass. |
| **Availability** | Show rows where `Onl` is 3 or less, to find the dates that are nearly sold. |
| **A rate condition** | Show rows where **Send Rate** equals **Min Rate**, to find every date sitting on your floor. |
| **A rate condition** | Show rows where **Send Rate** is less than **Rec Rate**, to find every date you are under-pricing. |
| **Send Date** | Show rows you have not sent since a given date, to find dates nobody has touched. |

Combine them. "Fridays and Saturdays, suites only, where Send Rate is below Rec Rate" is one filter set. It gives you a short list you can work in a few minutes.

**Reset Filters** returns the full table.

{% hint style="info" %}
A filter that hides a pending edit also hides it from the send preview. If the preview opens with no rows in it, clear your filters and open it again.
{% endhint %}

If you are new to the board, filter to one room type at one occupancy. Yield that slice until you are comfortable, then widen the filter.

## Editing rates

The board opens in **Edit Rates**. You do not have to switch anything on.

1. Click a **Send Rate** cell and type the new rate.
2. Press Enter, or press Tab to move to the next cell.
3. The cell highlights, because it now differs from the rate that was there.
4. Repeat for as many rows as you need. Edits build up across the whole table.
5. Click **Send**. Nothing leaves Revhero until you confirm in the preview. See [Sending rates](/revhero-docs/setting-your-rates/yielding-board/send-rates.md).

A rate below your **Min Rate** or above your **Max Rate** is marked. The mark is a question, not a block — Revhero does not change the rate and does not stop the send.

## Editing restrictions

Restrictions are a separate mode, so you cannot change a rate by accident while you are closing dates.

1. Click **Edit Restrictions** in the controls bar.
2. Type a minimum stay in the **LOS** cell, or switch **Close Out** on for the date.
3. Switch back to **Edit Rates** when you want to change prices again.

Rate edits and restriction edits build up together. One **Send** commits both.

Revhero sends the rate and the minimum stay to your channel manager, along with the close-out.

## Applying bulk changes

**Bulk Update** changes many dates in one action, instead of one cell at a time.

| What you want | What to choose |
| ---------------------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------- |
| Accept the recommendations across a period | **Copy From → Recommended Rates** |
| Put every date in the period at one rate | **Fixed Price** |
| Raise rates by an amount or a percentage | **Increase by** |
| Lower rates by an amount or a percentage | **Decrease by** |
| Go back to the rates your pricing structure produces | **Copy From → Initially Loaded Rates** |

Inside Bulk Update you choose the date range, and you can limit the change to certain days of the week. So "raise every Friday and Saturday in July by 8%" is one action.

Two things scope a bulk change, and both catch people out:

* **Your yield mode.** Base touches the base only. Room touches the selected room. Switch to **Custom** to reach every combination.
* **Your filters.** A bulk change only touches the rows you can currently see.

Bulk Update works in **Edit Restrictions** too. It is how you set a minimum stay of 2 nights across every weekend in a month, or close a soft midweek stretch.

Nothing is sent yet. Apply the bulk change, read the rows it touched, override the few you disagree with, then send. Full detail is in [Sending rates](/revhero-docs/setting-your-rates/yielding-board/send-rates.md).

## Reading your performance while you edit

The **KPI drawer** opens from the right edge, on the bar-chart icon. It gives you room nights, revenue, occupancy, RevPAR and ADR for the property and period you are yielding, each against last year, forecast and budget.

Open it before you start. It answers one question — am I yielding from strength or under pressure? — and it follows the period and filters you have set on the board. Full detail is in [The KPI drawer](/revhero-docs/setting-your-rates/yielding-board/kpi-drawer.md).

## Working a day, step by step

1. **Open the** [**KPI drawer**](/revhero-docs/setting-your-rates/yielding-board/kpi-drawer.md) and read it for 30 seconds.
2. **Set the period.** Next 31 days for tactical work, Next 90 or Next 180 for a season.
3. **Stay in Base Yield** unless a room or an occupancy needs its own answer.
4. **Filter to the slice you are working on** — a weekend, a room type, or every date below the recommendation.
5. **Read the row**: Send Rate against Rec Rate, then Send vs Last, then Init, Min and Max.
6. **Edit the cells you disagree with**, or use **Bulk Update** to accept the recommendations across the whole period.
7. **Sort by Send vs Last** to bring your largest changes to the top, and look at those again.
8. **Switch to Edit Restrictions** and set your minimum stays and close-outs for the same period.
9. **Click Send** and review the preview.
10. **Read the table back.** Send vs Last is zero on the rows you sent.

## If something looks wrong

| What you see | What to do |
| ----------------------------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| The table is empty | Your period or filters exclude every row. Click **Reset Filters** and widen the period. |
| A cell edit does not stay | You are in **Edit Restrictions**. Switch to **Edit Rates**. |
| **Bulk Update** changed only some rows | Your yield mode or your filters limited it. Switch to Custom to work across rooms, or clear the filters. |
| The Pin tab will not let you add another column | 6 is the maximum. Unpin one first. |
