# Parity

Check that your own rate holds consistent across your channels, and find out who is selling your property below you.

The **Parity** screen answers two questions: does your rate stay consistent across your own channels, and is anyone selling your property cheaper than you are?

It shows one month at a time, a row per stay date, in two tabs — **Daily Review** and **Reports**.

*The same room and date across your channels, and the one channel selling below you.*

## Daily Review

A month of daily rows, setting your own channel rates against the cheapest price found anywhere on metasearch for the same date. Every channel cell carries a link out to the live booking page, so you can see for yourself what a guest sees.

| Column | What it shows |
| ----------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Date** | The stay date |
| **Brand.com** | Your rate on your own site for that date, with a link to the page |
| **Booking** | Your rate on Booking.com, with a link |
| **Expedia** | Your rate on Expedia, with a link |
| **Lowest rate on metasearch** | The cheapest price found for that date, the channel selling it, and a **"+N more"** count of the others also selling it |

Which channel columns appear follows your own setup. The metasearch column is the parity signal itself: it surfaces the single cheapest price for your hotel and names who is offering it.

### The "+N more" list

Opening **"+N more"** lists every channel selling that date, so you see the whole spread rather than only the bottom of it.

| Field | What it shows |
| ----------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Channel** | The site selling that date |
| **Rate** | That channel's price |
| **Loss** | How far below your rate it is selling, as both an amount and a percentage — the size of the undercut |
| **Source** | The metasearch engine the price was found on |

## Reports

The **Reports** tab presents the same month as an undercut report, under **Other OTAs** — one row per date, your rate against the cheapest competing price for that day.

A summary sits above it:

* **Total** — the number of days in the selected month.
* **Avg. Undercut** — the average undercut across those days.

| Column | What it shows |
| -------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| **Date** | The stay date |
| **Hotel Rate** | Your rate for that date |
| **OTA** | The channel undercutting you |
| **OTA Rate** | Their cheaper price |
| **Difference** | The undercut — negative when they are cheaper than you, for example −€27 |

The section collapses and expands, so you can keep the month summary in view while you work.

## Filters

| Control | What it does |
| ----------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Month navigator** | Moves the daily view between months |
| **Rate type** | **Any Rate**, **Public Rates** or **Member Rates** |
| **LOS** | The length of stay compared, from **1 Night** to **8 Nights** |
| **Flights: Select** | Picks a single airport |
| **Compare to airports** | Picks up to four airports to compare |

Below the filters, a read-only **Filters Applied** row echoes the comparison settings in force — the rate basis, room, meal and occupancy — so you can always see which question the numbers are answering.

## Exporting and refreshing

* **Export** downloads the parity data as an **.xlsx** file, with date-range presets covering the current month and longer forward ranges.
* **Refresh Results** re-runs the comparison to pull the latest rates.

## Acting on what you find

An undercut is not always a breach. Before you raise it with a channel, check:

1. **The rate type.** A member or logged-in rate sitting below your public rate is usually permitted — compare like with like using the **Rate type** filter.
2. **The room.** A cheaper price on a smaller room is a different room, not a lower price.
3. **The board basis and cancellation terms.** A room-only, non-refundable rate will sit below your flexible bed-and-breakfast price by design.
4. **The market.** Prices vary by point of sale — see [What RoomPulse shops](/revhero-docs/roompulse/shopping-coverage.md).

Once those are ruled out, the link-out on each cell gives you the evidence to take to the channel.

## Parity versus MetaRadar

Parity examines **your own channels for one point of sale**, day by day, in depth. [MetaRadar](/revhero-docs/roompulse/metaradar.md) scans **several markets and several metasearch channels at once** and tells you where undercutting concentrates. Use MetaRadar to find where the problem is, and Parity to work the dates.
