# Exports & scheduled reports

Take RoomPulse data out as a spreadsheet, once or on a recurring schedule.

Most of RoomPulse is read on screen. Exports are for the times it is not — a board pack, a weekly pricing meeting, a comparison you want to keep alongside your own numbers.

Export is available from the action row on [Market Rates](/revhero-docs/roompulse/market-rates.md) and from [Parity](/revhero-docs/roompulse/parity.md). Both produce an **.xlsx** file.

*The same file, taken once or arriving on a schedule — and it carries whatever filters you had set.*

## Exporting once

The **Export** menu offers:

| Option              | What it does                                                            |
| ------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Date-range presets | The current month, and rolling forward ranges out to about a year ahead |
| **Custom dates** | Any range you choose |
| **Excel settings** | What each row carries — see below |
| **Schedule Report** | Turns this export into a recurring one — see below |
| **All Downloads** | The exports you have already produced |

The export reflects the filters you currently have set. Check the filter bar before you export — a spreadsheet does not carry the context of the screen it came from, and a file exported under a narrow filter looks identical to one exported under a broad one.

## Excel settings

**Excel settings** decides what sits alongside each price in the file:

* The **room name** and the **room type** for your own property.
* The **room name** and the **room type** for each competitor.
* The **meal type**.
* **Market demand**.

{% hint style="info" %}
Include the room name and room type if anyone other than you will read the file. A column of competitor prices with no room behind them is the fastest way for a spreadsheet to mislead a meeting.
{% endhint %}

## Scheduled reports

**Schedule Report** turns an export into a recurring email, so the file arrives without anyone remembering to produce it.

| Setting            | What it does                                          |
| ------------------ | ----------------------------------------------------- |
| **Forward period** | How far ahead the report covers — three or six months |
| **Days** | Which days of the week it is sent |
| **Time** | What time of day it is sent |
| **Enabled** | Switches the schedule on and off without deleting it |

Send it to land before the meeting it feeds, not after — a Monday pricing meeting wants the file on Monday morning, not Sunday night when the weekend's bookings are still coming in.

Scheduled reports keep running until you switch them off, so review them when someone leaves the team or a comp set changes.
