# Top tips

45 short tips. Each one tells you where to look in Revhero, what to look for, and the action to consider when you see it.

The rest of this manual explains what each screen is. This section tells you what to **do** with it, in about 30 seconds a tip.

Every tip has the same shape:

| | |
| ------------ | --------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Find it** | The exact screen, widget or column. Use it to learn where things live |
| **Look for** | The specific number, direction or condition to notice |
| **If** | The signal that makes this tip apply to you today |
| **Consider** | One action, not a list |
| **Example** | Real figures, so the logic is obvious |
| **Don't** | The mistake people make with this signal, where there is a common one |

Nothing here needs four screens open. One main signal, and at most one supporting check.

## About the numbers in these tips

The figures in the examples are there so you can recognise the situation, not as rules.

"Occupancy above 80% with pickup still strong" describes a scenario worth acting on. It is not a law that says raise the rate at 80%. Your own property's normal is the number that matters, and you will know it better after a month of reading the same screens.

Where a threshold genuinely depends on the hotel, the tips say so — "stronger than you would normally expect at this point", "more than you usually add in a week".

## The rule above the rest

**Check the data is current before you read anything.** The **Last Upd.** stamp under the Dashboard title tells you when your data last arrived. If it is not current, email **<support@revhero.com>** before you act on the numbers.

That is a 5-second check, and it is the only one you need before you start. [Troubleshooting](/revhero-docs/support/troubleshooting.md) covers the rest.
